Parks Victoria is closing parts of the Alpine National Park during the following dates while aerial shooting operations targeting deer are carried out.
- 14-17 November 2022
- 21-24 November 2022
- 8-11 May 2023
- 29 May-1 June 2023
- 5-8 June 2023
This will not affect access to most Mt Hotham walking tracks but if you are planning on walking the trails starting from Harrietville or behind Dinner Plain you should check the maps below before travelling.
- Bungalow Spur, The Razorback, Diamantina Spur, Mt Feathertop and Federation Hut will remain open, but Bon Accord Spur, Northwest Spur and MUMC Hut will be closed.
- The Australian Alps Walking Track, the Brabralung Trail from Mt Hotham to Dinner Plain and Carmichael Falls will remain open.
