Accommodation facilities are required to be registered under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 as prescribed accommodation if payment is made for a person or persons to be accommodated.
Mt Hotham Resort Management engages Indigo Shire Council's Environmental Health Officers to carry out regulatory duties under the Food Act 1984, Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008, Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009 and Tobacco Act 1987.
This service requires full compliance and a high standard of public health within the resort with assessments and inspections undertaken on food premises, accommodation facilities, health premises, educational visits to ensure tobacco compliance and the investigation of received complaints.
