MHARMB administers the issuing and enforcement of resort entry permits for Mt Hotham during the declared snow season. The resort entry fee covers visitor access to the resort and helps fund a range of important services including the Mt Hotham Ski Patrol, village snow clearing, free village transport, traffic and car parking services, cross country trail grooming, waste management and environmental management.

Commercial site holders and businesses operated under a commercial lease, licence, or authority where there is a demonstrated operational requirement to move goods or provide services between different worksites within the village are entitled to one complimentary resort entry permit.
